may cause strange behaviour. Personally, I just have a directory called
downloads and save *everything* there (it's currently 862MB). I have no
icons at all on my desktop - what's the point? You can never see the
damn thing so it's the last place I'd save a file to.
Well, let's say I download a file to the desktop. When the download is
finished and the download window disappears (no, I don't run the
download manager) the file just doesn't appear on the desktop the way it
should. It's af it doesn't get copied properly from the temporary
download cache.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't mozilla download everything to a
cache folder first, and move it to the real destination when it's finished?

However, I can't find it in the cache either with windows file search.
Well, you won't find it in the Cache folder under the filename youdownloaded; it will be called something like 3AA7B09Ad01. On the odd

The bug doesn't always appear. Strange, huh?
Yes, but then, the Desktop is a special (virtual) folder so saving to itmay cause strange behaviour. Personally, I just have a directory called

Is it just my computer or does mozilla 1.2 forget to actually save the
file to the harddisk after the download is complete?
I'm running Win2k Pro english version w/ SP3.
Thanks for any input... btw, I've experienced the same in 1.2a and b too.
